Region N will hold webinars over the next several months that focus on relevant housing issues, followed by a facilitated discussion to engage stakeholders in prioritizing actions that advance regional housing goals. Join this month for a session on gap funding opportunities through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis’ Affordable Housing Program.
Presenters:
- Anna Shires – Vice President, Community Investment Partner for Michigan, FHLBI
- Louis Piszker – CEO, Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency
FHLBI is required by regulation to allocate 10% of its net earnings toward affordable housing grants. Through its AHP, projects can receive up to $1 million in funding to help bridge financial shortfalls. Gap funding plays a crucial role in making affordable housing projects viable by covering the difference between available funding sources and total project costs. This session will highlight upcoming gap funding opportunities with Anna Shires, while Louis Piszker will share insights from the most recent Region N project funded through FHLBI – the Lincoln Park Lofts.
