The Mid and Southeast Michigan Youth Homelessness Regional Partnership is completing a needs assessment in partnership with Public Sector Consultants, a policy and research firm based in Lansing and Detroit, to better understand housing instability amongst youth in the following counties:
Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair, Sanilac, Shiawassee, and Tuscola Counties
Part of this assessment includes hearing from providers of wraparound services such as case management, mental health services, and food assistance. PSC is hosting a discussion group for service providers to discuss:
- The challenges of addressing the needs of youth experiencing homelessness and housing instability
- How service providers and housing providers work together to help youth
- Recommendations to better serve youth
